Summit Church commissioned Pastor Nolen Rollins to start another church in the Estero community and to name it Legacy Church. Pastor Nolen and a group of individuals started meeting together Sunday afternoons on the Summit Church property for the first two years.

The church began to grow in members and moved into a shopping center at the intersection of US 41 and Estero Parkway. God continued to bless Legacy Church in a number of ways with new members and a focus on impacting the Estero community.

2016
Chris Mueller joined the church as the Associate Pastor, just in time to help move again. The new location was on Corkscrew Road, across from Estero Community Park. Again, God continued to bless Legacy Church with more new members and outreach opportunities in the community.

Our pastors and elders knew that God was calling us to begin again with a fresh new mission, vision and target area of ministry. God called us to rethink how we make disciples who will make more disciples. God delivered an opportunity to sell the church building on Corkscrew and lead in faith that our new church home was awaiting us elsewhere. Just weeks after the building sale was complete, God brought the Legacy Church family together with Vision Baptist Church. Now, we are one church family as Legacy Life Church and have a new home at 11400 East Terry Street, Bonita Springs.
